Stay with me

I’d rather shake the tree
And feed on unripe dates
what will be, will be?
You don’t have to be mine
Just stay with me
we can rewrite destiny
I’d rather have stomach upset
Than sleep hungry!
but I must have you.
If this means my demise
Or your own ending,
then we rest together.

Diastema

Diastema,
The divide that joins
I’d rather stare at the space
between your teeth
Than be away from thee.

You’re beautiful
Because of your diastema
Or does it make you beautiful?
Ebony beauty,
Wouldn’t you smile?

I love your smile
And it calls to me
This diastema of yours
You don’t need a diastema
to be special
Because you are!

Don’t hold me back

Don’t hold me back from soaring
Locked in this cage, dying
Damaged, choked, not moving
Help me out my darling
Because of you I’m crying
Unnerving
Disheartening

Without you, I’ll be nothing
The sky is large, I’ll be crashing.
Without a companion as amazing
As you my darling

The sky is blue
And my heart wants you.
But my brain is warning against you
This feeling is new!

Sleeping Beauty

The first time I set my eyes on her
Amazement washed over me
Even though my gaze was lowered
The beauty she was had me humbled

Even now,
As you is lowered into the earth
Emitting serene beauty
The beautiful ones die young

From me to you.

From the darkest corner of my mind,
To the holiest part of my brain
Your name shines brightest.
I have a cold heart but it warms up
At the sight of your smile.

I can’t say it quite often
But be informed today
That the only things constant in life
Are your beauty
And my love for you.

I fall asleep
Thinking of you
And the first thing
On my mind as I wake up
Is you!

Not the richest
Nor smartest man around,
But all my riches
And my intelligence,
Is meant for you.

Take me on a cruise of love
And let’s sail away,
Just you and I
On a quest of discovery.
To be together with you forever.!

My ebony coated Angel!
Amazing and beautiful diamond,
Soft like velvet
Gentle as a dove.
My lady-Einstein.

Like a gentleman,
I’m on my knees
Asking politely and calmly,
“Oh maiden of magical beauty”
I give you my heart “would you please love me back?”

To my smiling friend

A petite angel of pristine character
Gently nudging me towards greatness
In a mountain of rocks
Or valley of top soil
My seed must break dormancy.

An aura of blessings surrounds her
But it’s already evident in the name
When character, Iman, beauty and brain reacts
The end product is you.

What is love if not an abstract noun?
But the one I have for thee
Is palpable, so I say love is concrete
In all ways, always
I will always be in love with you

As a friend
A sister
A confidante
A mentor
A role model.

In all ways, always
You’re perfect.
In all ways, always
I’ll forever love thee.

Nature

You paint a picture
And you request millions for purchase
The Lord made clouds like mountain
Yet , you give no praise.

During the raining season
We complain of too much moisture
But when it is all dry
We beg for a bit of moisture
To cool down

Lush green leaves blossoming
Slender trees dancing with the wind
It’s not by accident we know
Yet , we give no praise

As amazing as nature is
Worship it not
For it is not by accident
But design of the Lord Almighty.

Slowly in love

From the depths of my heart,
This feeling emerged.
From the first sight,
This feeling blossomed.

Rome wasn’t built in a day,
So I’ll bide my time.
Search my soul,
By the Creator of time,
I swear it’s true.

Not d smartest,
Or finest,
Or richest.
But truer than the rest.

Die for love?

I’d catch a grenade for you
But that means I won’t be with you
I’d rather catch a flu
So you can be my nurse

Morning, afternoon, evening and night!
I get grumpy when you’re out of sight
Voice sounding like the greatest symphony
Which halts any sign of cacophony!

Crystal clear eyes like crystal balls
Polished and beautiful
Making heads turn as she enters the hall
Stick with me, and I promise to be dutiful.
