Black Khimar

Swept past me like a breeze
The streamlined shape I noticed
Covered from head to toe
Something more beautiful I don’t know
Not surprised by your beauty
Totally mesmerized!

The most valuable things in life
Are protected
are well covered
Professors have gowns
Doctors have coats
And priests, frocks
But the best of them
Is that precious hijab
Your glorious khimar

You. Yes you.

No matter how hard I try
To reject the feelings, to deny
The fact that I want you
My little Angel in blue
Your radiant beauty
Brings me peace, tranquility.
Your smile
Your ambitions, desires, career
Makes me want you more
I know I can wait longer
But I’d rather you love me sooner
So, our together can be forever
Earlier.
And for longer.

You. Just you.

Asleep and awake,
Dream land or in reality
Hogwarts or Narnia
Day or night
In Star Trek or Star Wars
Hot weather or cold
It’s you. Just you

When I sleep
I dream of you
When I’m dreaming, it’s you
Just you.
I wake up and your thoughts sprout in my soul

I’ll be awake
And it’d still be you.
Here I am again, awake
Thinking about you.
Just you.

Sky-high

Secrets and hidden messages.
Pills and potions.
Mushrooms and green flowers.
Opening new world of possibilities.
The limitless imagination encountered.
Paranoia and ecstasy.
The fear of the future.
the pains from the past.
The probability of the present.
What is real?
And where does the imagination starts?
Random thoughts
And premeditated opinions

Flying high in the sky
Or swimming in a pool of sand
Walking with swagger
Or marauding aimlessly
Articulated speech
Or the ramblings of a mad man
Forgetting painful moments
Or just enjoying the amnesia
Nothing is what it is
What we are is nothing!

Appreciation

To the ones that we got
Cheers
To the success achieved
Cheers
To the ones that stayed
And made us feel save
Cheers

To the ones we lost
Cheers
To the ones that were taken away
Cheers
To the ones that left
And their departure making things right
Cheers

To the ones that made us feel alive and stay with us through thick and thin. Thanks!

Forgiveness

You want me to forgive you?
But when I was on my knees
Pleading and crying
You shunned me
Ridiculed me
I was beneath you!

Exit Act one
Now it’s act two
I’m now okay.
And no thanks to you!
You want your way back
No I won’t.
I can’t
I shan’t forgive you
You had your chance
It’s my time now

The Love of Àmàlà

She declared her love for me
And I felt compassionate
She asked me to give her my heart
But she wouldn’t believe my reply

I don’t have a heart
And I’m thinking of selling my soul
to the woman opposite my street
Yes! that woman!
The one that sells Àmàlà!

“Me or Àmàlà” she asked!
With tears in my eyes
And joy in my mind
I chose you!
My beloved Àmàlà.

Man, desires and destruction

Why is it that we long after
Things we shouldn’t be?
Why do we seek to satisfy
unfathomable urges?
Running after destruction
Things that could cause annihilation?

The human desire for disaster
what is the reason?
A man entered a lion’s den
Knowing full well the carnivore’s habits.
A man will consume barrels of alcohol
knowing it’s dangers.

Only one answer to these questions
We aim to feel invisible
Because if not,
why would we boldly say
“what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger”

Golden heart

If you drain the blood from my body
And replace it with golden ichor
If the hemoglobin turns golden
And my blood becomes jewel
You will still flow in my heart
Your thoughts will saturate my brain
Your smile will dilate my pupils
Your beauty will detoxify my liver
And your bliss will strengthen my bones.

Golden heart or red muscle
You’d always reside in my life

Peace and tranquility

Love is meant to bring peace and tranquility
Your name is Salam
But her life with you is hell.
Your name is Sakeenah
But you made him regret being alive.

I am not Salam
And you’re not Sakeenah

But can I bring you peace?
And you tranquility?

#Salam means “peace” in Arabic and sakeenah is “tranquility”
