The Virus

Corona virus is infectious
But your smile
Has more effects on me.

The Chinese Virus is trending
But nothing is taking space
In my mind but you.

If you were a virus
I’ll inject you into my blood.
And you’d flow straight to my heart

You belong with me.
Infect me
Be the virus I want.

You’re not good for me they say

But something must kill a man

You’re the virus I want

Queen

If you were a bit taller
You won’t be this perfect
A bit fairer
And I won’t be this amazed.
You’ve been dazzling in blue
And army green
And ash
But you in brown
Is yet another dimension.

When I hear the word “Queen”
Your image comes to mind
Nature is beautiful
But you redefine beauty.
Perfection is rare
And you, my dear, are unique.

The special one

Like a sculpture in a museum
You’re perfectly balanced
Top notch beauty
And easy on the eye.

I wanted to gaze into your eyes
But like in a museum
I can’t get closer to the beauty
Beauty. Perfection. Balanced.

Scared?
Did I chase you away?
Do you feel hunted?
Like a prey,
Dreading the predator.

I’ll watch from afar
But I’m no stalker
I’d move closer
But don’t want to push you farther!

Even if not a queen
Then rule the world with me
Beside me
As mine. The special one!

No one but you.

Bored
But not lonely.
Afraid
But not alone.
Your smile
Brings me joy.
Your pain
Hurts me deeply.
Your laughter
Incites ecstasy.
Your kind words
Brings me solace

I’m bored
But not lonely
People are around me
But no one is you.
I’m afraid
But not in danger.
I want you for myself
And no one else.

The face.

The face
This beauty of yours

New phase
Forsaking the old, and turning to you

Your case
The smile. The jokes. The care

The chase
And the thrill of being with you.

6. 66. 666

Six lines of poetry talking about how much I miss you. Inspired (or let me say prompted) by Jhene Aiko 10k hours. Enjoy!

I saw you just yesterday
But I’ve been missing you
For 666 hours

Six reasons for missing you
I’ll do that in sixty-six minutes
I miss you. In six lines!

Yearning

I yearn for your touch,
Even if, in anger
Or frustration
Slapping me or punching me
But not here, not now.

I yearn for your smile,
To watch with fascination
As a hole blossom on your cheeks
The verbal war we have
Sparing back and forth
In exquisitely woven speeches
The praises,
efficiently disguised in mockery.
But not here, not now.

Even though we’re under the same sky
It feels like we’re worlds apart
So much yearning.
But not here, not now.

Apology

To err is human
And I’m only human after all
To blame. Or not to blame
Drowning in remorse.

Our mistakes follow us
Like a lamb to slaughter
Only that here,
I am the lamb.

Tears streaming down my face
And by beards soaked through
When I remembered my error
But, I’m here by my doing.

Forgive me,
But I won’t forget
A reminder this will be
Of future transgressions.

Conspiracy

I feel like here, right here
We were been torn apart
They are all against us
Humans, desires, rules and our fears alike
Humans, knowingly or unknowingly
Breeds distance between us
Our desires and fears
Makes being together hard.

Do you really want me?
I don’t know and can not ask.
Do I really want you?
That’s a question I’m not ready to answer
The universe conspire against us
And mere mortals separate us
I am scared of losing you
Even though you’re not mine to lose.

This conspiracy runs deep
Deeper than the Mariana Trench
Deeper than the hurt we’ve gone through
Attack is the best form of defense
But casting us apart, the universe is
And until we fight back, with aggression
The conspiracy will keep spinning.

For her.

She would like holiday in the Bahamas
Let our honeymoon be in Medinah
Our first vacation, in Makkah.
She will have her first kid in Canada
Everything for the love of my life
Spending in her
And growing together
Raising our children in peace
In harmony, discipline and wealth

But first,
I have to get rich!
