WE SHOULD TEACH OUR SONS TOO

Sit right! Don’t go out after dark! Dress properly, you’re a woman! Go to the kitchen, you’re a woman!
She came to this world as a woman, has she committed a crime?!
She has a brother, have you brought him up this manner?!

Mothers, have you taught him to assist his sister with house hold chores? Fathers,  have you ever talked to him about the respect for women? Have you ever talked to him about gender equality? Have you taught him to protect the female and her honor?
You haven’t! How do you expect him to respect the feminine figure?!
You say charity begins at home, yet you forget the basic necessities of child training!
Have you even talked to them about physical and sexual abuse?!
Have you told them that no one deserves to be abused, MALE OR FEMALE?!

Today your son might sexually abuse another woman, tomorrow your daughter could be abused! Have you thought about that?!
No matter how she dresses, how she walks, where she goes, IT IS NEVER HER FAULT, but rather that of the unfortunate fellow who thinks its right to sexually abuse another woman who could be his sister, and the guardians who fail to teach their sons the rights of women!

This is a tribute to all women out there who  have been sexually abused or who live in the fear of being abused, and are still thriving and living against all odds.

Nothingness

It was a day filled with positive energy, a great way to begin my three weeks leave “what could possibly go wrong” I thought;
I got into my car, heading to the best Chinese restaurant in town to give myself a good treat after a very long time
Though it was a rainy day, that wasn’t gonna stop me;
I drove while listening to “I lay my love on you” by West life, it really took me back to my childhood;
I was deep in this melody when suddenly, this fellow on a motorcycle rushes past me! For a second I lost control of my steering wheel;
CRASH!
Off the bridge and into the river my car went!
I closed my eyes then and embraced the fall.

It felt like I was flying rather than falling, and I was fleeing from the struggles and pains of life;
I felt as though all my problems were over; I knew at that point, I’ll never feel pain;
I just wanted to savor every moment of that fall, to just feel nothing;
The sweet-beautiful feeling of NOTHINGNESS

Love At first sight

It was love at first sight,
I stole his heart away.
He told me to prove it,
Then I cut of my hand:
After all, that’s what Sharia does to thieves!

The Special One

Like Jose Mourinho
You’re The Special One.
Unlike Mourinho,
You’ve never let me down.

Like Romelu Lukaku,
You’re heavy in my heart.
Unlike Lukaku.
Your shots always find their target,
My heart!

Like Juan Mata
You’re the “Juan”
The one that matters!
Unlike Mata,
You can never be benched.

Like David De Gea,
You’re the best keeper in the world.
Unlike De Gea,
You have the strongest defense.

Like Antonio Valencia,
You’re strong in the tackle
Whenever I attack you.
Unlike Valencia,
You know all the way to my heart,
Not just one.

Like Ashley Young,
You don’t just want to get old.
Unlike Young,
You get better with time,
Like the fine wine you are.

Like Lingard,
You look younger than you are.
Unlike Lingard,
You perform extremely better
Than it seems.

Like Paul Pogba,
You add variety, flair and style
To my life.
Unlike Pogba,
You do it consistently and without backlash.
Nor getting injured when it matters

Like Manchester United,
You’re one of the best women I’ve ever met.
Unlike United,
You’re the only one in my world.
The Special One that really matters.
The one and all.

Death

“The only thing constant is change” they said. I will do you one better, “the only thing constant is death“. The soul will always leave the body when it’s the appointed time. A bullet to the brain, a dagger to the death, thick concoction of poison, a fatal accident, a car bombing, drowning at sea, a plane crash, a terminal illness or just sleeping and not waking up. The heart will stop pumping blood, the lungs will stop sieving air and the brain will stop functioning. The body will die and the soul will leave the body.

No one knows their time of death. Even a patient diagnosed with terminal illness does not know to the exact day, hour, minute and second he/she would meet the end. No one knows the moment they will be acquainted with the Angel of Death. Death can come at any moment. Are you prepared?

We all plan for the future; I want to have a PhD before I get married, I need to buy my mother the latest Mercedes-Benz, I need to build a mansion for my father in Banana Island, a nice holiday in Bahamas. We are all moving towards the final destination but our speed is different. Death doesn’t post his schedules on blogs nor does he send “bulk sms” about the time the receivers will meet their end.

Death in itself is a reminder. Tomorrow is another day but no one knows if he’d be there to call tomorrow “today”.

I pray that the Lord Almighty forgive us all our shortcomings, grant us all our heart desires and the goodness of this world. I pray He grant us long life in sound health and strong eeman. I pray that He guides us to the right path and grant us Al Jannah Firdaus when the time comes.

Because the reality is that you can die before spelling D-E-A

In love with a monster

Dear Love,

Thinking about you and the time we spent together as I write you this letter. Our walk on the beach. Splashing water and wading in the shallow part of the sea. Those were the good old days. The days we were both comfortable in the sun, when we both move around in the surface world.

Now without you, I’m doomed to roam the earth alone. I would have loved to be with you, but I have to protect you, and I have to keep the humans away from you. I hope you enjoyed your last meal? I promised him wealth beyond his imagination if he could just sleep in a coffin in my basement for seven days. Desperate youths are the most gullible.

I will leave the window open tonight. The moon is full and I pray you enjoy the view. I love you Dracula.

Yours truly,
Phoenix.

A gentleman

Your knight in shiny armor
Drowning you in care and affection
Always there when you needed him,
Charming, handsome and loyal.
Never for once ogling your mammary glands.
You fell head over heels.

But that was all a facade,
Like the river you see from far, a mirage!
I just wanted to see who you are:
Smiling with glee as I cut out your heart. Literally.

Painful Love

How can you be dead?
Now that I am ready
To live like never before
To cherish you till eternity

It was pained ecstasy
I raise my hand
At every slight disagreement
I know I maltreated you

Loving me was your mistake
You are being enslave
In this thing called marriage
Marriage became a shackles

No romance
No sensation
No beautiful love story
I know you wanted to leave to live

I want peace
I want to perfect my mistakes
Alas, its too late
You are already dying
But I promise to live my last breath for you

ABIKE

On my corridor of love
While I was singing
All sorts of love poem
She joined me with her melody

My loneliness disappeared
Worries evade me
Boredom went into extinction
She became my cheerleader

Last night under the duvet
With your hands doing the magic
At that instant
She turned me to an infant
With her cuddle and fondle

No better shield like her body
Soft, warm and silk
She wrapped me up in it
Cold was not even near

She’s got that sexy prowess
Doing it magically
One which is unexplainable
Never gets tired of giving me positions
Everytime I explore something new

I have been waiting too much
Hoping to receive her touch
I notice the sound of her clutch
She is here to give her much in my hutch
