Proposal

In the words (or should I say song) of the famous Ellie Goulding, 🎶 love me like you do.. Lo.. Lo.. Love me like you do.. What are you waiting for? 🎶

Cherish me like my life depends on it.
Adore me like my life force is attached to your care
Love me like it’s the last thing you’d do.
Love me from now till eternity.
Eternity could be now or never
And my love for you is true forever!
It is now or never!
Will you be mine till eternity?

Misery At Midnight

It’s midnight,
The nocturnals are roaming
And I can’t shut my eyes.
Stranded in the land of the living,
When I should be walking the neitherlands.

It’s midnight,
The diurnals are asleep
And I am here all alone,
Even my thoughts deserted me,
When I should be dreaming of better times.

It’s midnight,
The world is calm and pitch black.
Like the night, I’m silently in chaos
But unlike the night, there’s no calm
When would I ever be whole?

It’s midnight,
And the night watchmen are moving about,
The swish swash of jungle boots,
The shrill sound of their whistles couldn’t reassure me.
I’m here, all alone, with my pitch-black thoughts.
It’s midnight, but I don’t want the morning to come!

Letter to my love #3

“Letter to my love” is a series of letters sent back and forth between Phoenix and his love, Hera. Do read, enjoy and leave comments and criticisms. Gracias 😘.

Dear Hera,

Good morning to you my beloved. I received your letter yesterday and I have to confess that I was shocked by the content. You were asleep when I came back so I didn’t disturb you. I’d have had my way with you, but my mother didn’t raise a rapist. And even after reading the content of your letter, I was elated I did not go too far.

I’m sorry I kidnapped you and had to lock you up, but I promise to leave the door open when I am sure you meant everything you said to me. To me, you’re the epitome of perfection. The way you speak, smile, and your sonorous laughter always do things to me. Things I can’t begin to explain but that I’d rather show you.

Your pretty face. Your shining skin. And that cute diastema of yours. I’ll kill again for you if I have to. The ones I’d kill to get to you were in my way. And I promise to do the same again without thinking.

I brought you Chicken Sharwama and ice cream as breakfast. I’ll come and see (without a mask this time) when I come back from work. I love you so much Hera.

Yours truly,
Phoenix.

My reply

Dear phoenix,

I can be with you every hour, every minute and every second of your life. I can flood your face with soft kisses every morning. I can take all your pains away with a single touch.
You need not mask-up to fulfill your duties as my husband.
Love is highly overrated? But if this is not love, then what is?!
Come to me my dear, talk to me, tell me you love me; let us be captives of each other, let’s be trapped in each other’s souls!
Its quite unfortunate you have chosen the cowardly path and taken me away from the family whom I love the most.
Through it all, I never protested, neither have I complained. The meals are delightful by the way.
But all I want is for you to come to me, free me from this bondage and let’s enjoy our eternal love. This is all I ask of you.

Love, Hera.

Ajoke

The name is Ajoke
The complexion is ebony
The eyes are shinning
And the character is mysterious yet amazing.

Like peeling the skins of an onion
One mystery above the other
Wonderfully made
And beautifully sculpted
Full of wonders
And soft spots.

The rhythm of her heart
Against my ears
Is the most beautiful music
Ever made!

The crystal balls
Those are her eyes
I see my future in them
Her eyes, always marvel me
Makes me wander in the forest of merriment

Epic beauty she is
Cleopatra.
Forever I will be
Into thee….

Therapy session

“Why her?”, My therapist asked;
She was the most gorgeous damsel I had ever set my eyes upon; Her calm and collected attitude drew me closer and closer with each passing day;
She smelled like roses, lavender and freshly baked cookies, reminding me of home.
Her lingerie sitting on her perfectly shaped figure drove me nuts every time.
I was glad when I finally got the chance to smell them. I also got the chance to embrace the body I’d always fantasized.
She was not my first victim but she was definitely my best. Leaving her lifeless body behind, I got on my bike and rode till I found my next victim.

At the end of the session, My therapist stares at me with immense fear in her eyes. I look at her with a devilish smirk.

I just found my next victim.

I….Frankenstein

To my Nightingale,
I miss your sweet melodious voice, the songs we sang together and the beautiful memories we shared;
Our days of unending pleasure, days when our hearts were locked, souls united and our bodies filled with blazing desire;
I miss the days of making love to you till the sun comes up, and staring into you ocean-blue eyes till dusk
We could rekindle our lost relationship, we could give ‘us’ a fighting chance, but you’re Lucifer’s bride and I am the boogie monster. We could never be.
Death shall be our only escape. See you on the other side my love.

Love, Frankenstein.

Àṣàkẹ́ Aramide

It was connection at first sight. This poem is dedicated to a good friend of mine. One of the best baker on the face of earth! I wish you the very best in all of your endeavors Ara.

To Àṣàkẹ́

Tall,lean and proportional
She has a lot of weapons in her arsenal
Her smile,electrocuting
And her beauty is atomic!
Gigantic!
And she has a way of making her smile dramatic!

Her serene personality exudes calm
Or so I was made to believe
What she lacks in smiles
She made up for in beauty
Ebony beauty;the real African queen!
Just a poet saying the obvious!

O. B. A.

Sometime early this year, I asked a good friend of mine to accompany me to the wedding of another friend of mine. Without much ado, she agreed to go with me. And till today, that day is still one of my favorite day in the year 2020. This little piece is for her.

Obadara Barakat A

“would you go somewhere with me?” I asked
And that changed the trip
Her smile and laugh

Sincere discussion
And friendly conversations!
And I didn’t thank her enough

She is a nice human
But a better angel
Thank you Princess.

A Love Trip

I am ready to go
On that journey called love
Maybe I would find food
To fill my hope and trust

I was told I would need a companion
One who is true and sincere
Then I search the globe
And you keep appearing over and over

I am not flattering you
You are my dreams in reality
A voyage to the land of love
Would be blissful with you

Romeo and Juliet would gets jealous
Even valentine would wish
That their love didn’t end in death
When they sight us together

With you just like that
And me just like me
We would make a perfect US
On this love Journey
