Hope

I have traveled far and wide
Many moons have passed
Season upon season
In search of greener pasture
In search of better life
In search of the other half

A thousand promises made
But none kept
A million prayer sessions
But no answer received

But locked up in a box
Lies hope
But what happens when it escapes?
When I’m devoid of hope!
