Twilight

When the sun sets, and darkness covers the land, that’s when fear sets in.

Far away towards the horizon
The sun flees
Taking with it, all feelings of security
Come back!
Giant ball of gas
Refuse to heed my pleas?
The sun is deaf, alas!

Briefly glows
Bathing the horizon in blood
Luring me into a false sense of security
And suddenly!
The land is dark.

Where one star occupied a moment ago
Millions filled its space
But too far away to chase away the shadows
that mocks! Only travellers that give chase
Silence, the land is filled with.
Even a pin drop echoes…
